摘要  阐述了数据元素及其基本属性的提取方法。首先详细描述了适用于预建信息系统提取数据元素的“自上而下”提取法，接着给出了适用于已建信息系统的“自下而上”提取法，最后描述了提取数据元素基本属性的步骤。

Abstract: This paper describes the extraction of data element and its attributes. First it 
introduces the"top-down"method which is applied to the prebuilding information system
in detail; secondly it gives the "down-top" method which is applied to the existing 
information system; at last it gives the steps of extracting data element attributes.
