摘要  介绍了制定IEC 61169-4:2008标准的背景、必要性及其主要技术指标，及7-16型连接器产品的特点及其应用。为更好地执行该标准，针对一些常见问题进行了说明。

Abstract: This text introduces the background and necessity of preparing IEC 61169-4:
2008 and its main technical performance,and also the characteristics and its application 
of 7-16 type connectors. In order to apply this standards correctly, it also makes a few 
explanations of some problems which we usually meet.
