Abstract: ISO 3166 provides applicable coded representations of names of countries,the
principal administrative divisions and non-current country names. The paper gives a 
comprehensive analysis of ISO 3166 code system and code construction, introduces its
application in international domain names and international codes for the representation 
of currencies and funds.
