摘要  软件测试从20世纪50年代发展至今，测试方法和测试技术日新月异,但是对于软件测试的目标却存在诸多分歧。由于目标决定过程，过程决定质量，因此为了保证软件测试质量，首先必须有正确的测试目标。以软件测试实践中的经历为基础，对几种常见的软件测试目标的实质进行剖析，探讨并总结了软件测试的真正目标。

Abstract: Software testing appeared in 1950s. Software testing methods and software testing 
techniques change with each passing day. But there are many different opinions 
on the real goals for software testing. A process depends on a goal and quality depends 
on a process. So there must be a correct goal in order to assure software quality. This 
article is based on the author’s practice of software testing. The author analyzes the 
essence of several software testing goals. At last, the author sums up the real goal of 
software testing.
