Abstract: This paper briefly introduces the technology, applications, and characteristics 
of Abstract Syntax Notation One (ASN.1), as well as the relationship between ASN.1 and 
OSI seven layer model. We also discuss the key technology and registration of object 
identifier (OID), which is the most comprehensive application of ASN.1.
