Abstract: With the transition from analogue television broadcasting to digital television 
broadcasting all over the world,the market demand of set-top box increased greatly.As 
a result, the energy consumption of set-top box becomes a problem.This article analyzes
and compares the energy efficiency requirements for set-top box in EU, USA, Australia and New Zealand, Canada and China, in order to provide technical guidance for export
enterprises.
